Europe- Manchester, England

Hey Guys!

How are you today? I think it’s a great day to discover one of my favourite cities in Great Britain! Isn’t it?
I’ve decided to take you away in Manchester, the third largest town in England. Are you ready to discover one of the most popular cities of the Great Britain? In effect, Manchester is notable for its architecture or culture and last but not least for its football team!

  • A little friendly reminder about geography:

Manchester is a city and metropolitan borough in Greater Manchester, England, with a population of 2.55 million.

Where to sleep?

YHA Manchester,
I stayed 3 nights in this young hostel, we were 2 and we have opted for a dormitory for 4 persons. I had a good time in this place; you will find a restaurant, a bar and a nice place to have a full breakfast. Moreover this hostel is close to everything Manchester has to offer.

What to do/see?

Northern Quarter

To begin this section I will present you my favourite quarter in the city of Manchester: The surprising district of “Northern Quarter”. This real special quarter is full of amazing places:
-       AFFLECKS shop, a kind of shopping centre but with original products (silver jewel, cereal bar, retro and vintage shop..)
-       Second hand clothing store
-       Original bar and restaurant

John Rylands library

The John Rylands library is a Victorian Gothic on Deansgat near the city centre, take some minutes to visit this historical monument, you won’t be disappointed.

Cloud 23

Have a break at the highest point in Manchester! The panoramic view from the high tour of the Hilton’s bar is spectacular.

The Printworks

You will find some of the best night out and restaurant in Manchester in this original place.

Where to eat ?

-       Thaikhun Restaurant: Best pad-thai ever ;)

-       Mr Thomas’s chop house: One of the most older PUB in the city
-       Oast house: Good atmosphere
-       Can & grain: Try its delicious and tasty ribs in heart of the Northern Quarter
