Africa - Foulpointe, Madagascar

Hey Guys!

As promised I continue my Malagasy tour! After my previous article about the amazing little isle of Nosy Be I’ll present you Foulpointe, this little village called Mahavelona in Malagasy.

  • A little friendly reminder about geography:

Mahavelona (commonly called Foulpointe), is a town in the district of Toamasina, in the region of Atsinanana, on the northern part of the east coast of Madagascar.

Where to sleep ?

Foulpointe is nowadays one of the tourist destinations the most appreciated in Madagascar. The landscape prove it with a beach full of lovely bungalows, bungalows going of the most luxurious to the simplest to affordable prices are available all year long.
Moreover concerning food generally meals are organic, concocted from the fresh products of the fishing and fresh vegetables.

Personally I’ve stayed in the Manda Beach Hotel, facilities are good with an enjoyable swimming pool and a spectacular view from my spacious bungalow to the paradisiac beach of Foulpointe, and moreover the customer service is perfect with a friendly staff.

What to do/see ?

Firstly I advise to take a deep breath of fresh air in the beautiful beach of Foulpointe; in effect the beauty of its beach, protected by a coral reef is an excellent seaside destination in particularly to try snorkelling for the first time.

Secondly, to finish this article for the adventurer I advise you to rent a QUAD and roam the surrounding area you will discover different types of places: large beach of white sand or tropical forest… I’ve tried this with my father and nowadays it is still a good souvenir J

Maybe Your Next Destination?
